Many people try to add stipulations to being saved, but the truth is God designed it so that no one can rightfully boast in their own salvation. We cannot take credit for it, do anything to earn it, or pat ourselves on the back for a job well done because it was God that gave us the measure of faith we needed to believe and be saved.

For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you (Romans 12:3).

We see this a lot in our body of believers, where we give people a hard time for not believing. We say, "How can they not believe?" As if it were a choice. It is not a choice, it's a gift. A gift of faith from our creator so that we can see and believe in the truth of His son. You see it is God that allows us to see the truth, we do not choose it. He chooses us and He has chosen us all. It is God who gives us that measure of faith in our hearts to see and believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died and rose again.

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you (John 15:15).

You were saved by faith in God, who treats us much better than we deserve. This is God's gift to you and not anything you have done on your own. It isn't something you have earned, so there is nothing for you to brag about (Ephesians 2:8-9 CEV).

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do (Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV).

And Sion Peter answered and said, thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven (Matthew 16:16-17 KJV)."

How else could we believe the good news about Jesus, but God? So instead of us standing in judgment towards others who says they do not believe what we do, how about we pray and thank God for making known to them the riches of His Son Jesus? How about we pray and be broken on behalf of their prideful and rebellious hearts and ask God to forgive them so that they can admit and confess that Jesus is Lord and be saved?

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles (Romans 1:20-23 NIV).

Prayer

Father, you are so good. We thank you for the grace you have bestowed on each and every one of us that have accepted Jesus as their Lord and savior. Thank you for letting Him knock on the doors of our hearts so that we could be saved. Help us to partner with you on how best to pray for others. We thank you, God, for all that you are and all that you have done for your creation. You are so good. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen!

Have you been saved?

If you are someone who has not been saved. I would like to ask you, do you believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead? If you believe that then declare openly with your mouth that Jesus is Lord. If you do these things, then you are, in fact, saved, and I would like to welcome you to the body of Christ.

If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9).

Have you been Holy Spirit Filled?

If you would like to receive power in your walk with God, welcome the Holy Spirit into your life today.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
